Red Dragon Custom

Custom USC Alien , dimensions are 6'4 by 20 1/2 by 2 3/4 , 36 litres.

This board is made for Pierce who requested  a good all round board that suits the type of waves he surfs around his local breaks, he also asked if we could tweak the Fibonacci Dragon print by adding red highlights . We customised it and its come out really vibrant , looks super cool in the flesh!

This artwork is now added to the collection and we call it RED DRAGON ..

This USC Alien is on the way to Guam.  Guam is an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean , south of Japanese island chain of Okinawa. The region has some interesting history and culture .

If you like exploring possible new surf sports using Google  maps , than this area will blow your mind . The set ups are endless , with coral reefs and atolls surrounding most of the islands in the region ...

Pierce told us , he lives in a very special part of the world and we have to agree !

The Hype

Surf Forecasting sites like Coastalwatch hype went into overdrive ,over ten days before the first major swell event for the 2015 / 2016 Summer and it did not disappoint . 

Cyclone "Tuni" delivered pumping waves for almost a week on East Coast of Australia, in particular the South East Queensland points were all time . But the crowds were also at a hectic level.

We decided to hit the road with Aidyn , the filmer and his top the range Red Camera , which is one of the best sports action cameras, shooting in high definition and try and find some waves away from the crowded Gold Coast , hoping to bag some good footage .

 Brent Savage , made the most of the first swell event !

Everywhere that was good was crowded, but Brent has surfed this wave many times prior and with a little bit of knowledge and patience ,  he scored some bombs. 

Sunny Skies ,warm and super clear water, for the first swell of summer. Brent chatting with North Coast charger Laurie Towner.

At some stages the swell really jacked , and there were some good solid 6ft sets ,overall though it was good 4ft to 5ft for a couple of days straight on the points.

Will the swell getting cleaner and cleaner as the weekend progressed. Sunday and Monday saw some of the cleanest and best conditions of late . 

Lets hope more of this for 2016 !

Alien & Dragons

Warning this artwork is R Rated ! Lucky at first glance it looks like lovely little bubbles on the deck of your surfboard but take a closer look if you are over 18 years old  !

This one is in grey we also do it with a white background, and the lovely little bubbles on closer inspection reveal some X rated images not for the little ones , or the church goers !

Single concave under the front foot leading into double concave, instant speed and flow but with release and pivot that is needed under the back foot with the double concave , and tail shape is the super reliable squash tail.

USC Construction
USC Construction, or “Ultra Stringerless Carbon” construction with parabolic carbon rails, Really sets itself apart with the unique blend of materials and placement of the carbon.

With USC, you are using a stringerless blank, but a PU blank instead of EPS. The carbon is also laid around the perimeter, but more on the deck instead of wrapping under the rails.

The PU blank gives you that familiar feel we all know and love, while the parabolic carbon layout adds more speed, drive and flex. Combined with a unique bio- polyester resin, these boards lower their carbon footprint and are built to last, while giving you a board you can feel comfortable on as soon as you jump in it.
