Dimensions are , 5'11 by 19 3/4 by 2 9/16 , 30 litres . Best all round standard short board in the range , incredibly versatile , will suit most day to day surf conditions . Order a little shorter than your high performance short board and add little more width , same thickness or add 1/16th to 1/8th  to add a tad more volume.

Late Christmas Presents

 Well if you woke up to this under the Christmas Tree this morning , you must have been well behaved this year because Santa delivered !

Summer All Rounder

Looking for a short board that has the dna performance of a modern shortboard but the "fish" like qualities which makes surfing fun and easy !

Then the Blend ticks all those boxes ! Available in both constructions, the Premium Range and the USC Parabolic Carbon Rails model .

 This traditional short board has the outline of a modern performance style pointy nose surfboard , but with extra width in the nose and tail pods and flatter rocker. Medium to Low style rail volume . These forgiving attributes makes this the perfect addition to the quiver for guys that want a step down to grovel with but do not want to ride a fat fish !

What you have is instant speed with a surfboard that works from really bad waves but will handle in good surf as well .

Great travel board when heading to perhaps off-season destinations and looking at waves in the 2ft to 4ft range ..

Purple Haze

The Mulberry Resin Tint was such a hit we inverted the process , instead of having the black bordering the pink and purples .

We splashed the black down the centre  and surrounded it with purples and pinks which created this spectacle of colour on the deck of this USC Convert !

This is Purple Haze ! Looks super cool .. Dimensions on the is USC Convert are 5'6 by 19 1/2 by 2 5/16th. 26.48 litres.

Below is Mulberry on the bottom of this USC TP1 and remember if you have your own colour scheme or ideas , let us know . We can produce pretty much anything !

Pouring Into The Unknown

Surfboard Resin Tint Art are all hand created in-house at Formula Energy.

We do all our own artwork in-house and we love it . 

Next to shaping the board and see the foam morph into functional surfboard shape is pretty cool . However mixing pigments and tints into the resin is without doubt the most exciting part of the board building process. 

Something about creating colour by adding it to resin that never gets old  ..

Its essentially random and the process of getting desired colors and effects is actually the opposite to what most people think .. Its some what trial and error buts its cool ! Especially when you get it right !

Epic colour schemes evolve when mixing resin tints and pigments together. Sometimes what's on the screen comes out a little different but thats all part of the creative individual side of making surfboards by hand and with love !

We call this RESIN TINT MULBERRY and you can have it on the deck or bottom of your next surfboard or even both !

Get ready for summer on this USC Fuzz Nuts. The back to the future fin set up , sets this model apart from the standard quad / five fin generic boards going round .

With this surfboard the intention was to design a genuine quad , how quads came to being . Not a thruster with two extra fin FCS plugs added !

The whole design compliments  the four fin cluster, and with the flat deck , you can ride it shorter than normal as the volume is cleverly disguised in the overall foil. Add the chimed rail , pulled in hip swallow tail . What you have is an extremely fast small wave board .

New Hemp Colour

We just added a new colour to the Hemp range. 

Its Black , "very black" and its a composite Hemp / Lyocell material designed to look good add durability to the deck of your board and add an improved flex pattern for performance surfing.

This new hemp is the lightest material in the hemp range , therefore by adding it to the deck of your board in the USC range , the parabolic carbon rail compliments the "flex" and spring without dampening the drive and speed of the board, keeping it lovely for longer and that all important new board feeling .

The look is a very black opaque deck colour but once the board hits the water , the material looks amazing , the fibers come alive with a silver / platinum three dimensional effect highlighted once the deck is submerged in water . 

The added layer of organic hemp material does make your board marginally heavier about 200 grams including the extra resin used to laminate it but the benefits of the hemp are outstanding , by using less traditional cloth but still getting a durable strong deck and long lasting surfboard .

And your get a genuine eco friendly material that will make your board last longer and wear better in the long run , while keeping that new board feeling .

 So what is Lyocell / Tencel  ?

Its made from the natural cellulose found in wood pulp. The fiber is economical in its use of energy and natural resources, and is fully biodegradable. Tencel is made from cellulose in wood pulp, which is harvested from tree-farmed trees.
